First Blog Task

                                              1st post

1)Why did you choose GCSE Media Studies?
I chose this GCSE option because I am very passionate about technology and software’s. I am aware that in media, to create products, you use various aspects of software’s e.g. fireworks, Photoshop, song Vegas.

2)Which part of the course are you looking forward to most?
I am looking forward to the production part of this GCSE as I will be able to be expressing my creativity. I am looking forward to the theory aspect as am good at GCSE exams.

3)What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media?
I hope to learn skills of analysing and skills that I will be able to use in the future.

4)What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media?
A*

5)What was the last TV programme or film you watched?
I Watched “Superbad” which is a 2007 American comedy film directed by Greg Mottola and starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera.

6)Why do you think that film appealed to an audience?
I believe that film,Superbad, appeals to a younger audience as it makes relevant references to acts that students in college do.Its mainly appealing as young adults/ the target audience can relate to certain references of the movie which makes it funny and makes it a successful comedy movie.

7)What technology have you used to access the media in the last 24 hours? (Radio, TV, phone etc.)
I have used 3G/Wifi on my phone to access the internet on my phone. Internet on my phone has me exposed to social networking sites which provides certain news pages e.g Facebook pages which keep me/the user up to date with certain aspects of media e.g politics,events,music and celebrity drama.I have also used Television to keep up to date with the world cup. 

8)What device do you use most to access the media?
 I use my Mobile phone most to access the media.

9)What is the main news story on the BBC News website currently? Why do you think it is the main story?
The main story is "Savile NHS victims aged 5 to 75".This story is about the Ex-BBC DJ Jimmy Savile which sexually assaulted victims aged five to 75 in NHS hospitals over decades of unrestricted access.This story is big as it concerns the people of England and those who are associated to the NHS as it is a service that we all use and it is concerning the these events have occurred and we have only found out after 50 years.

10)What is the main news story on the Guardian website (guardian.co.uk) currently? Why do you think it is the main story?
The headline on the Guardian Website is "Bank of England moves to limit large loans to housebuyers" this is important news on the financial  side of the government as this converts the average person and there financial needs.This move could lead the economy in rescission.
